Dr. Sassani was awarded his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College) in Philadelphia. He underwent residency training at the Ophthalmology Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Medicine), where he also completed his fellowship in ophthalmic pathology.
