Satish B. Alapati BDS, MS, PhD
Associate Professor, Endodontics, University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry, Chicago, IllinoisDr. Satish Alapati is currently a tenured Associate Professor in Department of Endodontics and Department of Pediatric Dentistry, College of Dentistry, adjunct associate Professor in Department of Bioengineering, at University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Alapati completed his dental training BDS from India; Certificate in General Practice Residency; MS in Dental Materials, Ph.D. in Oral Biology from The Ohio State University, and a Certificate in Endodontics from University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Alapati authored 2 book chapters, 36 published papers and more than 100 published research presentations at National and International Clinical/Dental Research meetings. Dr. Alapati is also a recipient of Foundations Educator Fellowship award (AAEF) in 2009.
Most recently, Dr. Alapati served as Trustee on Board - Foundation for Endodontics from 2015-19, served on Council on Scientific Affairs (CSA) - American Dental Association Science & Research Institute (ADASRI) for the term 2018-2021 and currently serves on Board of Trustee Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS). Additionally, he serves on various sub committees on Dental Products (ADA SCDP), Dental Informatics (ADA SCDI) and ISO/TC-106 (Endodontic Materials and Instruments).
Dr. Alapati is actively involved with Chicago Dental Society (CDS), Coalition & Leadership Groups - Independent Dental Organization (IDO) ISDS and was a past president at CDS West side Branch.
Dr. Alapati had received funding from both NIH and private foundations. He is a full-time educator and an active practioner in Allen Anderson Faculty Dental Practice, UIC College of Dentistry – limited to Endodontics.
