Associate Professor of Neurology, Duke University School of Medicine; Program Director, Neuro-Oncology Fellowship Program, Duke, Durham, North CarolinaDr. Katherine Peters is Associate Professor of Neurology at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. She is also the Program Director for the Neuro-Oncology Fellowship Program at Duke. Her research interests are in the areas of neurocognition, function, and quality of life in brain tumor patients. Currently, she is managing and running primary clinical trials and supportive care trials for patients with primary brain tumors.
After being awarded her medical degree and a PhD in cancer biology from Stanford University, Dr. Peters undertook residency training in neurology at Johns Hopkins University, where she also completed a fellowship in cognitive neurosciences. She then went on to complete a fellowship in neuro-oncology at the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Peters has over 50 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and is a peer reviewer for 15 national and international scientific journals.
