Associate Professor, Department of Dermatology, University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, MississippiDr. Nahar received his medical degree from Vitebsk State Medical University, Belarus, a Master’s degree in health promotion and a doctorate with an emphasis in Health Behavior from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Nahar’s research focus is on the utilization of health behavior theoretical models to conceptualize preventative behaviors in order to guide future interventions and provide a deeper understanding of the underlying factors of behavior change. Dr. Nahar has published in many top peer-reviewed journals including JAMA Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, British Journal of Dermatology, Archives of Dermatological Research, and Photodermatology, Photoimmunology & Photomedicine. Dr. Nahar has presented his work at national and international conferences and is currently a reviewer for several journals. He is also on the Board of Editors of the International Journal of Women's Dermatology, Journal of Dermatology Nurses’ Association and the Indian Dermatology Online Journal.
