Dr. Kushnir earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and medical degree with AOA distinction from The Ohio State University College of Medicine.  Following medical school he completed his internship, residency, and fellowship and advanced endoscopy training at Washington University in St Louis.  He has remains on faculty at Washington University as Assistant Professor of Medicine, where his practice focuses on EUS, ERCP as well as the early diagnosis and treatment of luminal gastrointestinal malignancies.   His research focuses on patient outcomes in therapeutic endoscopy, Barrett’s esophagus and colorectal cancer screening.
