Ziad F Issa MD, MMM
Executive Director, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Prairie Heart Institute of Illinois, Medical Director, Cardiac Electrophysiology Laboratory, HSHS St. John's Hospital, Springfield, ILDr. Issa received his medical degree from the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, and completed Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiology Fellowship, and Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship all at Indiana University in 2005. In May 2016, Dr. Issa completed Master of Medical Management (MMM) degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA.
Dr. Issa is the lead author/editor of the first, second, and third editions of the textbook “Clinical Arrhythmology and Electrophysiology: A Companion to Braunwald’s Heart Disease.” The first edition was published in 2009, and the second edition in 2013. The third edition is due in late 2018.
Dr. Issa currently serves as the executive director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Prairie Heart Institute of Illinois, and is the Medical Director of the cardiac electrophysiology laboratory at St. John’s Hospital.
