Zhao Lin BDS, MMSc, PhD

Associate Professor, Department of Periodontics, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Richmond, Virginia

Dr. Zhao Lin received his BDS degree and a master degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Peking University in China, and obtained a PhD in Oral Health Sciences at University of Michigan. He also finished residency training in periodontology in Harvard School of Dental Medicine. After that, he joined the Department of Periodontics in Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry and currently is an associate professor. As a dentist-scientist, he is interested in understanding the epigenetic mechanism of periodontitis and developing novel therapeutics for craniofacial and periodontal regeneration. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
