Dr. Zafer Keser is an assistant professor and senior associate consultant of neurology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.

Dr. Keser was awarded his medical degree from Cerrahpasa Medical School at the University of Istanbul in Turkey. He undertook a post-doctoral fellowship in the Neuromodulation and Neural Interfaces Laboratory at the NeuroRecovery Research Center, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, at TIRR Memorial Herman in Houston, Texas. He received residency training in neurology at the McGovern Medical School, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and completed a fellowship in vascular neurology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore.

Dr. Keser's research interests are 1) using neuromodulation to enhance recovery after stroke, and 2) craniocervical artery dissections.
