Yu Kuei Alex Lin MD
Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Diabetes, University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, MichiganDr. Lin is a Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. He is a clinician-scientist conducting research oriented to characterizing hypoglycemia and developing interventions to minimize hypoglycemia in people living with diabetes. His work has expanded knowledge about the enduring problem of hypoglycemia in people living with type 1 diabetes and using advanced diabetes technologies, as well as highlighting the association between hypoglycemia development and impaired awareness of hypoglycemia and unhelpful hypoglycemia beliefs in this population. He has received funding supports from the National Institutes of Health, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and other institutional awards. Clinically, he regularly sees people living with diabetes and supports their diabetes management.
