Dr. Li is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurologist and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She specializes in epilepsy care and research, dedicating her career to advancing the understanding of the mechanisms, diagnosis, and treatment of epilepsy. In addition to her MD degree, Dr. Li holds a PhD in Neurology and Neuroscience. Her PhD training focused on better understanding epileptogenesis and identifying potential new treatments for refractory epilepsy patients. She completed her neurology residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, followed by an epilepsy fellowship at Stanford University.

Dr. Li’s interests include women with epilepsy, precision medicine, and the genetics of epilepsy. She has published numerous articles on a wide range of epilepsy-related topics. Among her honors, Dr. Li has earned recognition from the American Epilepsy Society and the American Academy of Neurology. Her current endeavor is to find genetic biomarkers that may help identify neurodevelopmental risks in children born to women with epilepsy, ultimately improving the quality of care for epilepsy patients.
