Dr. Yael Hacohen is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and lecturer at the UCL Institute of Neurology (London, United Kingdom). She completed her doctoral studies in 2014 in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neuroscience at Oxford University, where she studies children with autoimmune encephalitis and characterised their clinical and immunological phenotypes. Her research output has resulted in over 80 peer-reviewed publications and invitations to give over 30 lectures nationally and internationally. Her expertise and main research interests are in neuroimmunology, particularly the role of antibodies in paediatric acquired demyelinating syndromes.
