William Toff, MD, is Professor of Cardiology at the University of Leicester, with a clinical appointment at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, UK. His clinical and research interests are in cardiac rhythm management, valvular heart disease and health technology assessment. He has led or contributed to numerous landmark clinical trials in cardiovascular medicine and is the Chief Investigator for the United Kingdom Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (UK TAVI) Trial. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the European Society of Cardiology, the Heart Rhythm Society and the Higher Education Academy.
