Dr. William Sohn is a clinical instructor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in the Department of Urologic Surgery and the Center for Surgical Quality and Outcomes Research.  He completed his residency in Urologic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine and is completing a fellowship in Urologic Oncology and Health Services Research at Vanderbilt University.  He conducts funded research on prostate cancer, with an emphasis on patient-centered outcomes, and utilizes large datasets to perform comparative effectiveness research in the management of renal cell carcinoma.  He is also interested in the measurement of quality and value in the delivery of medical care and its implications on health policy.  He specializes in both open and minimally invasive surgery of all urologic malignancies.
