William Burns is a resident in periodontics at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics. He earned his BS in neuroscience from Duke University in 2014 and went on to work as a microbiology research assistant for three years. He earned in DDS from Iowa in 2020. His current research project focuses on the alterations in the microbiome of e-cigarette users. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and two dogs.
