Jacob Cobb is a current third year chief resident in family medicine at the John Peter Smith Health Network Family Medicine Residency Program in Fort Worth, TX. He is originally from rural Texas and attended Texas A&M University for his undergraduate degree and then Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine for his medical training. He has an interest in broad-spectrum Family Medicine and will complete an additional fourth year with an emphasis in maternal and child health. He also has an interest in sexual health and preventive care for young adults. During his residency training, he has focused on research determining barriers to prescribing HIV PrEP therapy in the residency primary care clinics with a goal of addressing those barriers and increasing the use of PrEP for appropriate candidates for therapy.
