Dr Yip completed her undergraduate medical training at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, United Kingdom in 2006, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

She earned her Masters of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2012, and successfully completed her specialist Ophthalmology training in 2016. During her training, she was appointed chief medical officer and chief registrar in 2009 and 2016 respectively. She is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore).

Dr Yip has an interest in research and has presented and published in numerous conferences and journals both locally and internationally. She had been awarded 2 research grants and also achieved the Merit award for her oral presentation at the NHG Eye Institute International Ophthalmology Congress in 2013.

Dr Yip is also a Clinical Lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Singapore. She also has an interest in Primary Eye Care and is involved in the training and education of Optometrists.

Dr Yip’s areas of interest include Glaucoma, Cataract and General Ophthalmology.
