Virginia Hernández-Gea MD

Hepatic Hemodynamic Laboratory, Liver Unit, Hospital Clínic, Institut de IDIBAPS and CIBERehd, Barcelona, Spain

Dr. Virginia Hernández-Gea gained her MD in 2003 from the University Miguel Hernandez in Alicante, and did her training in hepatology at Hospital de Sant Pau, in Barcelona. She was a postdoctoral fellow at Mount Sinai School of Medicine from 2009–2012 and is currently a member of the Hepatic Hemodynamic Lab at the Liver Unit in Barcelona. Dr. Hernández-Gea’s research focuses on pathophysiology and treatment of portal hypertension and liver fibrosis.
