Vinny Minichiello, MD is a board-certified family physician and assistant professor within the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. He completed medical school at the University of Massachusetts, and both family medicine residency and the Academic Integrative Health Fellowship in Madison.  He also pursued training in medical acupuncture and mindfulness teacher training. Vinny’s research has focused on developing, facilitating and evaluating mindfulness training programs for resident physicians. He has served as national co-course director for the VA’s Whole Health in Your Life course and the Whole Health for Pain and Suffering course, facilitating education of VA providers and staff in self care, integrative health, and medical culture transformation. He is currently course director of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Healer’s Art course for first and second year medical students. As of January 2021 he serves as Fellowship Director for the Academic Integrative Health fellowship at UW-Madison.
Vinny is blessed to have been married to his wife, Annmae, since 2013, and their child, Skylar Mae Minichiello, is now four years old. He enjoys training with his wife for sprint-distance triathlons and practicing Tai Chi regularly
