Khan, a specialist in adolescent medicine, is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Family and Social Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Khan is the Medical Director of the Bronx Nutrition and Fitness Initiative for Teens (B’N Fit) weight management program at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, where she is also an attending physician.
Dr. Khan earned her bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree (MBBS) from the Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She underwent residency training in family medicine at Southside Hospital in Bayshore, New York, where she was named Resident of the Year in 1999. Following several years of family medicine practice, Dr. Khan completed a fellowship in adolescent medicine at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and subsequently joined the pediatric faculty at Einstein/Montefiore. Dr. Khan earned a master’s degree in clinical research from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her academic and research interests are in cardiometabolic risk factors in adolescents with obesity.
