Tufan Tarcan MD, PhD
Professor of Urology and Pediatric Urology, Marmara University School of Medicine, Istanbul and Koç University School of Medicine, Istanbul, TurkeyTufan Tarcan, MD, PhD, is Professor of Urology at Marmara University School of Medicine, and Visiting Professor of Urology at Koç University School of Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey. After finishing his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa School of Medicine and urology residency at Marmara University he completed his fellowships in Adult and Pediatric Neurourology in the United States (Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Children’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School, respectively). He holds a PhD degree at “Histology and Embryology” and his main area of interest is “Functional and Female Urology” and “Paediatric Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction”. He is a member of the “Urodynamics Committee” and the “School of Neurourology” at the International Continence Society (ICS), member of ICI Research Society and board member of EAU Section of Functional and Female Urology (ESFFU). Dr. Tarcan is currently the president of the Turkish Continence Society and associate editor to Neurourology&Urodynamics, the official journal of ICS.
