Tristan Pascart MD, PhD
Full Professor, Department of Rheumatology, Lille Catholic University Hospital, Lille, FranceTristan Pascart is a rheumatologist in the North of France. His clinical and research special interests are gout and CPPD, with a focus on using dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) to assess crystal burden and how it relates to disease activity and severity. As principal investigator for imaging studies involving DECT, Dr. Pascart started the CRYSTALILLE inception cohort in 2016 now including 500 patients with crystal diseases. He is part of the steering committee for the development of the ACR/EULAR classification criteria for CPPD with a focus on the imaging aspects.
His research also focuses on therapeutic aspects of gout and CPPD. He was the first author of the 2020 French recommendations for the management of gout, and was the principal investigator of the COLCHICORT trial, first ever RCT performed in acute CPP crystal arthritis.
He was appointed co-Editor in Chief of the Gout, Urate, and Crystal Deposition Disease journal, flagship journal of the international society for crystal deposition diseases Gout, Hyperuricemia and Crystal-Associated Disease Network (G-CAN).
