Dr. Trishul Allareddy is an Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist. He joined The University of Iowa, College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics in 2008 after completing his residency and having spent a little more than a year as a consultant to a private imaging company. He was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2011 and as a Full Professor in 2016 and received his Tenure in 2020 in the Departments of Oral Pathology, Radiology and Medicine and the Department of Radiology at The University of Iowa. He is currently the Program Director for the Advanced Education Residency Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.

He serves on several collegiate, university, national and international committees. He is currently the ADA and AAOMR representative to DICOM. He is the current co-chair for working group 22(Dentistry) of the DICOM Standards committee, where he also serves on the Leadership, Outreach and Educations Committee. Dr. Allareddy is one of the authors of the National Council on Radiation Protection (NCRP: 177) report in Dentistry. He serves as an Editor for OMFR Resource center and is an associate Editor for OOOO journal. His main expertise and interest is in the use of technology in dentistry. His research areas are related to health care outcomes of various conditions in and around the oral and maxillofacial regions and the role of advanced imaging and artificial intelligence in the oral and maxillofacial regions as it applies to dentistry. His other interests include raising awareness about the use of advanced imaging to the dentists around the country. He is also actively involved in promoting and emphasizing the importance of an Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist’s role in Dentistry.
