Dr. Todd E. Schlesinger is a Board Certified Dermatologist, Dermasurgeon and Cosmetic Dermatologist where he is committed to providing the highest quality professional skin care in a warm, friendly and compassionate environment. At the State University at Buffalo School of Medicine, he was inducted into the prestigious medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha, and received special honors in anatomy and pathology, winning entrance into the Gibson Anatomical Society and the Pathology Honor Society. Following his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Dr. Schlesinger completed additional surgical training at Scripps in La Jolla, CA, and became a Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery. He has been in private practice since 1998, and has extensive experience in all aspects of laser and light based therapies, having worked with many of these technologies since they were introduced. He founded the Clinical Research Center of the Carolinas where he is currently conducting over 35 clinical trials of new therapies and devices. Additionally, he is a national trainer, speaker, consultant and adviser to numerous pharmaceutical, cosmetic and technology companies. Dr. Schlesinger holds academic appointments in Dermatology at the University at Buffalo and in the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he also serves as a preceptor in the College of Health Professions. A Castle Connolly Top Doctor and South Carolina Dermatologist of the Year, Dr. Schlesinger has earned the respect of his colleagues. He is past president of the South Carolina Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and the Charleston County Medical Society. He serves as President-Elect of the South Carolina Medical Association and an alternate delegate at the American Medical Association. At the American Academy of Dermatology, he serves as Deputy Editor for Dialogues in Dermatology, a CME program. Dr. Schlesinger lectures nationally and internationally on various dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, practice management and clinical research topics. He regularly gives back to the community by organizing Free Skin Cancer Screenings and participating in Health Care Events.
