Tim R Brown PharmD, BCACP, FASHP
Director, Clinical Pharmacotherapy Services, Center for Family Medicine, Cleveland Clinic Akron General, Professor and Master Teacher, Northeast Ohio Medical University, Akron, OHDr. Tim Brown is employed by Cleveland Clinic Akron General as a primary care Pharmacist in the Family Medicine Residency Program. He received his doctorate from Campbell University School of Pharmacy with residency training at the Medical College of Virginia. In his current practice site he acts as a preceptor for pharmacy and medical students from across the country and is a Professor at the Northeast Ohio Medical University. In 2018, Dr. Brown was named the Ohio Health-System Pharmacist of the Year and received the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Graduate Medical Education Leader of the year award. He was also recognized by the American Academy of Family Physicians as the 2017 Outstanding Faculty for Live Activities. Brown is a past board member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists and was recognized nationally as a leader within Ambulatory Care by this organization. Dr. Brown served on the Board of Directors for Project Learn of Summit County and the Community AIDS Network. He is also the co-editor of the two books designed to help others build their practice model in an Ambulatory Care setting, as well as co-creator of an outpatient intervention tracking application. Over the past 15 years he has hosted a monthly drive time radio segment answering call in questions from listeners and working to give back to the community.
