Thomas B. Dodson DMD, MPH, FACS
Professor and Chair, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Washington School of Dentistry, Seattle, WashingtonDr. Thomas Dodson is Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Washington School of Dentistry.
He received his dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Masters of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his OMS training at University of California-San Francisco (UCSF). Additional post-doctoral training included a Dental Public Health residency and a NIH-funded fellowship in Clinical Epidemiology at UCSF.
Dr. Dodson believes that patients are our partners in discovery. As such, his research interests lie primarily in outcomes research. The primary goal of his research efforts is to improve patient outcomes by elucidating and promoting data-driven clinical decision-making.
