Dr. Cheng serves as Co-Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at the Framingham Heart Study and Associate Director of the Cardiac Imaging Core Laboratory at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Cheng graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and received her medical degree from the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University and a master’s degree in public health from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Cheng completed internship and residency in internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and her cardiovascular training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Cheng’s research is focused on the use of imaging and non-imaging biomarkers to study cardiovascular aging. She has authored or co-authored over 70 publications, and has been recognized by multiple awards including the Normal D. Anderson Memorial Award, the Calderwood Prize, and the American Heart Association Samuel A. Levine Young Clinical Investigator Award.
