Dr. Sudhakar K. Venkatesh MD is a professor of Radiology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine Rochester, MN and a consultant radiologist in the Abdominal Imaging Division, Radiology Department, Mayo clinic. He is a graduate of Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore, India and received training in radiology in Delhi University and National University Hospital, Singapore.  Dr. Venkatesh completed a research fellowship at the Mayo clinic in advanced MRI imaging of Liver. Dr. Venkatesh is a well-known expert in clinical applications of Magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) of liver. His research focuses on noninvasive detection of liver fibrosis, characterization of liver tumors and assessment of treatment response. He has published numerous original articles and reviews and lectured widely on the topics related to MRI of diffuse and focal liver diseases.
