Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery; Associate Professor of Health Policy and Research, Weill Cornell Medical College; Associate Attending Cardiothoracic Surgeon, New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York, New YorkDr. Subroto Paul is an Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Health Policy and Research. He is an attending surgeon in the Division of Thoracic Surgery at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center (WCMC). He is a senior investigator within WCMC Patient Centered Comparative Effectiveness Program and US FDA’s Medical Device Epidemiology Network’s (MDEpiNet) Science and Infrastructure Center.
Dr. Paul received his undergraduate education from Yale University. He then earned his medical school degree from Harvard Medical School. He stayed in Boston to complete both his general and thoracic surgery residencies at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Paul has received many honors, including the Harold Lamport Biomedical Research Prize at Harvard Medical School, the Francis D. Moore, MD Award from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the American Association of Thoracic Surgery (AATS) Resident Traveling Fellowship.
Dr. Paul has published more than 77 peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Paul is interested in the treatment of benign and malignant disorders of the chest, as well as health services research.
