Steven Devick OD
Co-author of King-Devick Test, founder and CEO of King-Devick Test, Inc.Steve Devick, OD, has founded/co-founded a series of successful public and private companies, including Platinum Entertainment (NASDAQ: PTET), Blue Rhino (NASDAQ: RINO), Platinum technology (NASDAQ: PLAT), a software company and the King-Devick Test, Inc. (K-D) which initially studied the relationship between eye movements and reading fluency. The test has been utilized worldwide in measuring saccadic eye movements as they relate to a variety of brain functions. It has most notably been validated as an objective sideline screening test for concussions. In the last 4 years nearly 50 peer reviewed papers have been published featuring K-D as it relates to concussions, as a measure of quality of life in MS, PD and ALS, and functionality in hypoxia and extreme sleep deprivation and reading remediation.
Steve received the Ernst Jokl Sports Medicine Award from the United States Sports Academy for outstanding sports related medical research in 2011. In January, 2015, Mayo Clinic, for the first time in its 150 year history, executed a co-branding equity contract with K-D, which is now called the King-Devick Test in Association with Mayo Clinic.
