Stephen Safe is a Distinguished Professor at Texas A&M University. He received his undergraduate and masters degree from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario, Canada and a D.Phil from Oxford University in England. His research interests are in toxicology, endocrinology, and cancer. His current focus is on the functions of the orphan nuclear receptor 4A1 (NR4A1) and NR4A2 and development of unique ligands for these receptors for treating multiple solid tumors.
