Professor Simon Heller is Professor of Clinical Diabetes at the University of Sheffield, Director of Research and Development and Honorary Consultant Physician at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust, UK.

He trained at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham and undertook his research training at the University of Nottingham. From 2000-2005 he was Editor of Diabetic Medicine.

Prof. Heller’s research interests include pathophysiological responses to hypoglycaemia and hypoglycaemia unawareness, He also conducts research concerned with developing interventions to encourage more effective diabetes self-management.
