Sheila C. Tsai, MD, FACCP, FAASM, is a Professor of Medicine at National Jewish Health and at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University and graduated from Baylor College of Medicine. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency, Pulmonary and Critical Medicine Fellowship, and Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the University of Michigan. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Chest Physicians and of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Tsai joined the faculty at National Jewish Health in 2008 and is the Program Director for the Sleep Medicine Fellowship program at the University of Colorado. She has served the American Academy of Sleep Medicine on various committees including the maintenance of certification committee, the education committee, and as Chair of the Sleep Medicine board review course.

Dr. Tsai is currently a member of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Residency Review Committee for Internal Medicine. Her primary interest is in medical education and her main clinical interest is sleep disordered breathing.


Dr. Tsai is a physician advisory board member for ResMed Corp.
