Medical Resident Investigator Track (MeRIT), Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TXDr. Seyedmohammad Saadatagah currently serves as a Medicine Resident at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, participating in the Medical Resident Investigator (MeRIT) Track. Following the completion of his residency, he will embark on his cardiology training at Baylor.
Dr. Saadatagah received his Medical Doctorate from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. He then worked for four years at the Tehran Heart Center, enriching his clinical acumen and passion for cardiovascular health. Seeking to broaden his horizons, he transitioned to the United States, joining the Atherosclerosis and Lipid Genomics lab at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, where he gained genomics skills. He then moved to Houston to commence his internal medicine residency. Within the Atherosclerosis Clinical Research Laboratory, he continued to expand his research skills in genomics and precision medicine.
Despite his early career stage, Dr. Saadatagah boasts a substantial background in clinical and translational research. As he looks toward the future, he is poised to continue his trajectory within the field of genomics and precision medicine.
