Sarah Wood MD

Schmidt College of Medicine, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FLDr. Sarah Kathleen Wood is the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She is a board-certified pediatrician and medical educator. Dr. Wood graduated magna cum laude with Honors in Psychology from Yale University in 1989, and then earned her MD degree at Harvard Medical School in 1995. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital, followed by a year as Chief Resident there. Dr. Wood relocated to Boca Raton Florida in 2003, and in 2008 she was appointed the Pediatric Clerkship Director for the Regional campus of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. A few years later, FAU launched its own free-standing medical school, and Dr. Wood has planned, implemented, and directed the third year longitudinal integrated clerkships that launched in May 2013. Dr. Wood has a particular interest in innovative clinical curricular design.
