Assistant Professor of Medicine, Leukemia Program, Division of Hematology, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center University of Miami, Miami, FloridaDr. Sangeetha Venugopal completed her medical education in India and underwent internal medicine residency training at the Montefiore Medical Center, New York, NY followed by a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai, New York, NY. Additionally, she has completed an advanced subspecialty fellowship in Leukemia at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX with a concurrent master’s degree in clinical research at the George Washington University, Washington DC in 2022. During her fellowship training, she has been awarded several merit awards at the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology for outstanding abstracts.
Dr.Venugopal serves as the Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology at the NCI-designated Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Miami, Florida. She is keenly interested in improving the long term outcomes of patients with myeloid malignancies and in this regard, she has published several original articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
