Dr. Samuel Urrutia is a fellow in hematology and oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He was awarded his medical degree by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (National Autonomous University of Honduras, Faculty of Medical Science) in Tegucigalpa and underwent residency training in internal medicine at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Urrutia’s professional interests are focused on clonal hematopoiesis, myelodysplasia, and bioinformatics. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, among other professional organizations.
