Clinical and Research Fellow, Massachusetts General Hospital/ Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MassachusettsDr. Safia Chatur is a clinical and research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital/ Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School as well as an MSc candidate in behavioral economics at the London School of Economics. She is the recipient of both the Arthur J.E. Child Cardiology Scholarship (Libin Institute of Alberta) and the Daniel Pierce Family Research Award (Harvard Medical School).
Dr. Chatur completed undergraduate studies at McGill University and attended medical school, internal medicine residency and general cardiology fellowship training at the University of British Columbia and the University of Calgary.
Dr. Chatur’s research interests center on 1) identifying implementation gaps in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart failure; 2) using clinical trial data to inform the use of heart failure goal directed medical therapy in high risk and undertreated populations; and 3) developing and prospectively testing behaviorally informed implementation strategies for heart failure patients.
