Dr. Talwar is a chief resident at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and an associate fellow at Wharton's Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics. She is pursuing a career in urologic oncology and health policy, and will be completing an SUO fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She has published extensively on opioid usage after urologic surgery and was a co-author of the AUA White Paper, "Rationale and Strategies for Reducing Urologic Post-Operative Opioid Prescribing." Dr. Talwar is an active member of the AUA Public Policy initiatives, and is a delegate representing the AUA within the American Medical Association. Additional academic interests include quality improvement, health equity, and access to care.
