Roxana Adriana Stoica MD, PhD

Assistant Professor, Department of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania

Since 2019, Dr. Stoica has been a Diabetes, Nutrition, and Metabolic diseases specialist, and Assistant Professor in the same department at "Carol Davila” University, Bucharest, Romania.

At the beginning of her carrier, she worked as a scientific Research Assistant at the National Institute of Research, Development for Electrochemistry and Condensed Matter- INCEMC in projects dedicated to biosensors.

Currently, she is involved in studies regarding new biomarkers for screening and diabetes prevention, patient education in economically disadvantaged areas, and implementing technologies in diabetes. She is the Secretary of the Romanian Committee of Diabetes, Nutrition, and Metabolic Diseases and a member of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, the Romanian Society of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, and the Association for Renal Metabolic, and Nutrition Studies.

She authored papers in the areas of diabetes, nutrition, and chemistry in national and international peer-reviewed journals, with a 7 H-index. Also, she dedicates time to being a reviewer for 10 national and international journals. As a clinician, she actively participated in the last 2 years in national diabetes and neuropathy screening campaigns in rural areas.
