Ross Soo is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Haematology-Oncology, National University Cancer Institute, Singapore, and an Adjunct Principal Investigator, Cancer Science Institute of Singapore, National University of Singapore and is a visiting senior consultant at Alexandra Hospital.

He received his medical degree from Monash University, underwent specialist training in Melbourne and Sydney and subsequently became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He specializes in lung cancer, head and neck cancer and leads the Lung tumor Group at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore. He was previously the Training Director for the department Haematology-Oncology.

His professional affiliations include memberships of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, and the Singapore Society of Oncology. He sits on various committees including National Healthcare Group Domain-Specific Ethics Review Board; Ministry of Health Drug Advisory Committee; Medical Oncology Specialist Training Committee; and the Communications Committee for the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.

His research interests are in lung cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer and has published more than 70 papers in major journals including Cell, Nature Medicine, Science Translational Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Lancet Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research, and Annals of Oncology.
