Ronald Pfeiffer, M.D. is Professor and Vice Chair of Neurology, UTHSC.  He completed neurology residency at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  He has extensive experience in clinical trials of experimental medications and a particular interest in gastrointestinal dysfunction in PD.  He was Chair of the Movement Disorders Section of the American Academy of Neurology from 2012-2014 and is a longstanding member of the Parkinson Study Group.  He has been Chair of the CME Committee of the Movement Disorder Society and of the Other Non-Motor Subgroup, NINDS PD Common Element Working Group.  He is author or co-author of over 300 journal articles and book chapters, co-editor of 7 books or monographs, and co-editor-in-chief of the journal, Parkinsonism and Related Disorders
