Rodrigo Fonseca MD

Rodrigo Fonseca, MD, is an internal medicine resident at Mayo Clinic and former research fellow in the department of Oncology and Hematology. He received his MD at Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City, Mexico. Dr. Fonseca is active in both basic and clinic research. His research focuses mainly on plasma cell disorders and other hematologic malignancies. Ongoing projects are investigating mechanisms of resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs used in multiple myeloma, as well as identifying useful biomarkers for tracking disease.
