Rodolfo Trujillo MD
Dermatologist, Madison MSDr. Rodolfo Trujillo is a Colombian physician who completed his training in dermatology and surgical dermatology at the Universidad Del Valle, Cali, Colombia in 1999. He was recognized with several awards for his clinical and translational research during his dermatology training. After his graduation he worked as a principal investigator at the International Center for Medical Research and Training (CIDEIM), an institution focused on the investigation of infectious disease, located in Cali, Colombia.
Dr. Trujillo was also a professor of dermatology at two Colombian universities, Universidad del Valle and Universidad Libre, and he was the editor in chief of the Colombian Journal of Dermatology from 2005 to 2006. Since 2012, Dr. Trujillo has been collaborating in Dr. Salazar’s spirochete research labs at the University of Connecticut using immunohistochemical and molecular techniques to characterize the cellular infiltrates in skin lesions from persons with secondary syphilis. He has research interests in leishmaniasis, ectoparasitosis, Lyme disease and syphilis. Recently he moved to Madison, Mississippi, where he has been creating a strong relationship with the medical community of the University of Mississippi.
