Dr. Roberto Giugliani, MD, PhD, is Professor at the Department of Genetics of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Chief of the Medical Genetics Center of Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre, and Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for the Development of Medical Genetics Services in Latin America. He is also Coordinator of the Brazilian Institute of Population Medical Genetics (INAGEMP) and of the Latin American School of Human and Medical Genetics (ELAG), is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Inborn Errors of Metabolism and Screening and Full Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences.
