Dr. Nam is currently Head of the Genitourinary Cancer Site Group, Odette Cancer Centre, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto. He completed his residency and uro-oncology fellowship training at the University of Toronto in 2002. His research interests include the genetic epidemiology of prostate cancer, new biomarker discovery for prostate cancer diagnosis and in population-based studies in prostate cancer. He holds multiple operating grants in prostate cancer research, and has published a number of high impact papers in the field of prostate cancer genetics and biomarkers. He recently served as a Co-Chair for the American Society of Clinic Oncology (ASCO) Provisional Clinical Opinion Committee for prostate cancer screening.
