
Rishabh P. Acharya BDS, MDS
Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor, Division of Prosthodontics, Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences, University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry, San Francisco, CADr. Rishabh Acharya received his dental training in India and was the recipient of the DY Patil University Gold Medal and the Pierre Fauchard Academy International Senior Student Award in 2014 for his outstanding academic achievements.
He successfully completed a postgraduate certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Dental Science (M.D.S.) from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Newark, New Jersey. His thesis entitled “Retentive strength and marginal gaps of a bioactive luting agent: An in vitro pilot study” was published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Acharya completed a fellowship in Oral Oncology and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics from The University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas followed by an advanced education program in implant dentistry at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, Loma Linda, California.
Dr. Acharya joined the Division of Prosthodontics, Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry, as a full-time faculty. Dr. Acharya is the director of the UCSF School of Dentistry's pre-doctoral implant program. He teaches clinical removable and fixed prosthodontics in the pre-doctoral clinic and treats patients in the UCSF Dental Center prosthodontic faculty practice.
