Ravy K. Vajravelu, MD MSCE, is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh and Core Faculty at the Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.

He is a physician-scientist who aims to develop personalized medicine tools that inform diagnostic and therapeutic decision making for gastroenterology patients and providers. To accomplish this goal, his research program includes analyses of large administrative health databases and development of novel biostatistical techniques. His research is supported by grants from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases and the American College of Gastroenterology.
