Randall Brown MD, PhD, FASAM
Assistant Professor, Department of Family Medicine, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public HeathDr. Randy Brown is an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison. He is also the director of the Center for Addictive Disorders at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics and the director of the University of Wisconsin Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program. Dr. Brown's primary interests revolve around the treatment and prevention of substance use disorders and their complications, particularly among those involved in the criminal justice system.
Dr. Brown received his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine, and completed residency training at Stanislaus County Health Services Agency in Modesto, California. After residency, Dr. Brown served as faculty at the Stanislaus County Family Practice Residency, where he was also the medical director of the Stanislaus County methadone treatment facility. He attained a PhD from the University of Wisconsin Department of Population Health Sciences in 2009.
