Dr. Ramón Estruch is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, Spain. He is also a Professor of Medicine at the University of Barcelona and a member of the CIBER of Obesity and Nutrition at the Instituto de Salud Carlos III in Madrid, Spain.

Dr. Ramón Estruch is actively engaged in both clinical and basic research. He is focused on the effects of the Mediterranean diet and its main components (extra-virgin olive oil, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and wine) on health. He has published over 690 manuscripts in high impact Journals, his H-index (Scopus) is 105 and the years 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 has been recognized as a 'Highly Cited Researcher' by Claryvate Analytics, USA.
