Fellow, Urologic Oncology, Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FloridaDr. Prithvi Murthy is a fellow in Urologic Oncology at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. He completed his urology residency training at the Cleveland Clinic where he was granted the George and Grace Crile Traveling Fellowship award, which is given annually to a trainee in a surgical specialty who has demonstrated exceptional capabilities and effort as well as a commitment to self-education.
Dr. Murthy is clinically interested in all aspects of urologic oncology, though has a research focus in urothelial disease. His prior work has assessed long-term renal functional outcomes following cystectomy, oncologic outcomes following minimally-invasive cystectomy, and the impact of prior pelvic radiation on secondary urothelial cancers. Current research endeavors involve assessments of urinary tumor DNA in non-muscle bladder cancer as it relates to tumor recurrence and progression.
